SUBJECT: New York State Police Guide to SAFE Act

The New York State Police Department has released their official guide to interpretation
and enforcement of the New York SAFE Act.

This guide is the State’s interpretation, and may not reflect other legal
opinions. However, at this time it is the guide that will be used to
enforce the SAFE Act provisions, at least until the legal challenges to
the Act have been adjudicated.
